Ordered Taxi by phone waited ages, then received a text saying the Journey was completed!!! No taxi came, you just left me there. So I signed up with UBER, which was really quick and easy. I had to wait 9 minutes and the driver showed up, was super polite, the car was nice and clean and the journey was cheaper. I gave him 5 stars and a tip.
It is no surprise that the taxi industry is failing. Don't use these losers. Use UBER as they will actually turn up.

I am absolutely shocked by the service. Booked a maxi taxi the night before for a morning pick up as I had an appointment to go to. Called 20 minutes later as the taxi had not arrived, I was told it won't be long. An hour later still waiting, called again and I was told they were still looking for a driver, I said I booked last night so there will be no delays, the operator told me they don't organise the taxi so much in advance.
What kind of business are you running people.

I am concerned about the new telephone booking system. Yes, it is efficient - but how is a person supposed to book from a taxi for, eg. 2 hours time, from a payphone or other device that cannot use the app?

Absolutely disgusted by the service. I've never caught a taxi before until last night and I never will again based on my first experience. Driver was speeding and we were nearly in an accident on a roundabout because he was going too fast on approach and there was another car on the roundabout that had to slam on the breaks to avoid hitting us. The driver also ran a stop sign. I am glad that my family and I are home safe, no thanks to the drivers of Yellow Cabs. Never ever again.
